I had to give my fingers a rest for the last few days. I don’t know what I had. You sometimes hear people saying that the have had the flu, when really it was probably just a bad cold. Given that I had the flu injection at work several months ago, then I suspect that if it was the flu, then it wasn’t the full-on version; maybe just man flu as my sister so cruelly advises me--lol
Headaches, fever and coughing have been my main symptoms and I stayed in bed or just hung around home. Perdy did get out but only for short walks with her ‘other’ master. Today I felt a bit better, so off we went to the bay after picking up a few things from the chemist.
I can’t help but think that Perdy seemed to understand that her ‘walkies’ time wasn’t going to be the full blown one she usually gets. This time she didn’t take the ball after about ten throws and order me to follow her. She also came back each time I called and she sat, waited and did all of the things I asked. Hell--- at this rate I shall look like a real ‘in control master.’
After about 30 minutes, I called her again and she meekly sat while I put on her lead. She didn’t pull on the way back to the car and all the way home she kept looking at me. I’m, convinced—she has my best interests at heart. www.authorneilcoleman.com
