Yes, I am trying to bake a cake in my solar oven today. Do I have a recipe?---don't be silly. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't follow it. This is what I did.
I got about 2 tablespoons of butter, chucked in about a table spoon of allspice, a cup of sugar, 2 eggs and beat the hell out of it with a fork. The I mixed in a cup and a bit of flour with a heaped teaspoon of baking powder. I stuck my finger in and tasted. Damn, that was good enough to eat without cooking!
I turned on the solar oven. That means I put in in the sun with the wrack, and the black tray to increase the heat. It got to just under 100c. I poured the cake mixture into a the black cooking device--the ones made out of that rubbery stuff that you can use in an oven. I'm sure you know the name of it. In went the cake and we shall wait for
an hour and a half. Watch for the updates and taste test.
